It can only redirect 5 nukes so its best to build multiple Boomerangs in an area to insure that your base is safe. Their high health, miniscule expense, and small individual size makes them ideal as separators between defense turrets to prevent one bomb from damaging another turret etc. The Boomerang Nuke Re-directer can easily be overwhelmed. They can be used two ways: To hinder movement of your opponents army, or to block your opponents fire.Doing so allows you to safely launch ICBMs enough to return to remote areas. Defending against a Boomerang means placing Nuclear silos on the outskirts of your base, well away from it.Having it shielded with other defenses will ensure it's survival. It also acts as a deterrent and forces the enemy to employ unconventional means to destroy it.With enough Boomerangs, it can become more destructive than building nukes of your own. These turrets can serve early on as defense against T1 armies and later on as high damage assistance to longer range turrets. The various factions T1 point defence turrets all have high damage and short range, with minimal differences. It is the least expensive of the T3 Artillery units, but is also the least accurate and has the lowest damage and the shortest range. The Disruptor is a gigantic Proton Artillery cannon built into a sturdy base. Building a Boomerang is a surprisingly good tactic to punish players who employ a heavy nuke strategy. For the weapon as used by the Jester Gunship, see Cybran T1 Light Gunship. The Cybran T3 Heavy Artillery Installation, nicknamed the Disruptor, is a Cybran unit. However, it's slow recharge delay and limited redirects, a single boomerange can be overwhelmed by a nuclear salvo.Įach boomerang holds 5 re-directs, which cost 800 Mass and 2500 energy More expensive that its traditional cousin but the advantages of unobstructed redirected nukes offset this tactical defensive solutionĪ Boomerang redirecting a UEF ICBM back to its owner. One of the main advantages of a boomerang is that it turns the enemy's weapon against them as redirected missiles are ignored by anti-nukes which ensure a serious blow to the enemy's nuclear capabilities. When a nuke enters its effective range, the Boomerang connects to it and reverses the targeting data Effectively returning it to the source. Unlike traditional 'hard-kill' nuclear defense sites, the Boomerang employs a 'soft-kill' measure to incoming ICBMs. The Boomerang Experimental Nuke Defense is a structure from the Infinite War Battle Pack One DLC.
